Este perfume huele definitivamente a flores muertas, a vegetación podrida, a flora descompuesta y espectral. El propio nombre lo dice, aunque al principio no caí: Túmulo de flores. O Flor de túmulo, que suena mejor. El perfume más gótico que he tenido el gusto de oler y que utilizo, lo confieso, de modo más bien compulsivo y a pesar de que alguna de sus notas de fondo me repugne. Lo de las repugnancias debe de ser como lo de las fealdades, que algunas (muy pocas) en vez de repeler atraen.
El perfume no es del todo grato a la nariz, pero sí muy sofisticado. No podría no serlo tratándose, como en efecto se trata, de un perfume conceptual. Un perfume llamado Flor de túmulo y que huele a rosa, geranio, salvia, tomillo y grosellas negras, sí, pero a rosa, geranio, salvia, tomillo y grosellas muertos. Jean-Baptiste Grenouille alabaría lo conseguido de esta fragancia, aunque sin duda él la sintetizaría mejor. Pero entendería, no me cabe la menor duda, la intención que se adivina en sus creadores.
El perfume es decadente y vampírico, y aunque siniestro consigue excitar los sentidos. En sus momentos más alegres huele un poco a tiesto (será el geranio), y en sus caídas en picado a flores con moho. Una exquisitez para narices algo desviadas que gusten de fragancias polimorfas y por completo amorales. Lestat usaría este perfume. Y Felicidad Blanc también.
